The department has the credit of launching the first scientific PG program at IITH. The two-year MSc in Chemistry program started in 2010 with seven MSc students. Now, the MSc intake has been increased to 39 students. The state-of-the-art PG experimental and computaional laboratory has been fully established. The Department is committed to produce excellent master students in chemistry descipline by training them in research oriented programs in their master thesis project of one year. After persuing their master degree in chemistry, many students get PhD positions in top ranked institutes all over the world. Our aim is to produce highly experienced and knowledgeable graduates to pursue careers in academia, industry, and government.
